What an amazing sight—thousands and thousands of
people from all over world gathered together for this event.
People were dressed in their local attire so there was a fabulous
and vast array of colors, textures, headpieces, jewelry,
It was just beautiful and fantastic. It truly felt
like a UN gathering which in a way it was. The opening
meeting was translated into multiple languages and everyone
was issued a headset and translation device which was a
must. English was not the primary language spoken here.

There were 4,888 delegates representing 128 different countries.
The opening ceremony was majestic as they introduced each
country and a representative came forward and took a seat.
Once all were seated, the meeting commenced. Speakers from
around the world shared visions of sustainability, food communities,
quality producers, environmental responsibility, and ecological
practices. It was fascinating to hear these world leaders
also discuss issues such as genetic modification and industrialization.
Most of all, it was amazing to be surrounded by such company—to
be seated next to a Russian cattle rancher or a Peruvian
